Our Artist of the day today is Dion Hamer.
Travelling has always been a source of inspiration for his work, feeding his curiosity and viewpoints. Fundamental to his practice is the investigation into site, depicting his affiliation with its culture, identity and history via a conceptual response. The indirect reflection on society and cultural issues in general has been an important component in Hamer’s art making.
At blinc this year he will be making four short films representing each stretch of Conwy’s Town Wall. Each film will be a viewpoint from the North, South, East and West parts of the wall.
