Helen Booth is the blinc Artist of the Day today. Her work will be both projected on the Castle and also be exhibited as an installation inside one of the Conwy Castle Towers.
Both pieces are concerned primarily with the ideas of String Theory. A fundamental idea in Physics, that the world is made up of tiny vibrating strings. She has always been drawn to this very visual explanation of the universe, and it is only through blinc and the Alan Turing Centenary, that she has come to realise that it was Turing that introduced the notion of String Theory in the 1950′s.
The projection and installation is a departure for Helen’s usual painting practice, but she is looking forward to the experience of drawing and projecting in space.
