Dymphna is our blinc Artist of the Day.
She works in the arena of dance, theatre, video and moving image, exploring notions and concepts concerning time, place and identity. She examines ideas of identity and identity politics and concepts associated with topography and place.
Working with video and moving image enables her to examine the concept of perspective and the manner by which we perceive our surroundings. It brings ordinary situations into focus and transforms them. At times her camera is an aid back to history to help understand the present and move forward into the future a multi faceted shifting process that is constantly evolving.
